Tribal youth of Kashipur cracks civil services exam

Bhubaneswar: Sunanda Jhoria, a tribal youth of Kashipur block in Rayagada district, brought glory for his family as well people of the State by qualifying the UPSC Civil Services 2017 examination.

While family members expressed happiness over Sunanda’s achievement, residents in the locality said the youth has brought fame to Kashipur.

Sunanda has secured 1064 rank in the all-India UPSC civil services examination this year.

After completing schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Koraput, Sunanda, a resident of Badamari Bhatta village in Kashipur, pursued engineering at IIT, Dhanbad.

In his reaction, Sunanda said, "I will give the credit to my mother, teachers and acquaintance Krushna Chandra for the success."

He advised youths of his native place to join the all-India Civil Services and work towards upliftment of Kashipur.
