Puri: In a fresh development to the ransacking incident at the Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) here, four senior doctors of the Government-run hospital resigned from their job pointing at the lack of security at the hospital today.
Following this, the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) called for an important meeting to discuss on the issue.
According to sources, Jena, who was suffering from a heart disease, was brought to the hospital by his family members. However, the doctor declared him dead on arrival. After that family members of Jena ransacked the registration counter and broke three computers, ACs, lights and oxygen cylinders at the hospital attributing the death to medical negligence. They also allegedly thrashed some doctors and staff of the hospital, sources added.
Police have started investigation into the matter.
