Bhubaneswar: With teachers of 488 and 622 category colleges remaining firm on boycotting Plus II evaluation, the State government on Friday decided to requisition the services of teachers of Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas and technical educational institutions for the purpose.
Talking to media persons at the Secretariat here after a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary, Higher Education Secretary GVV Sharma said, “In the meeting, it was decided that the Plus II evaluation process will be completed within the time frame. Teachers, including ad hoc college lecturers with M Sc qualification in case of Science papers, and minimum of one year's experience will be given additional duty of evaluation. Similarly, self-finance college lecturers, Navodaya, central school, Ekalvaya model school teachers will be given additional duty.”
He further stated, “The assigned teachers will join the evaluation duty from tomorrow,” adding that if anyone creates hindrances in the process, strict action will be taken against the person.
Among others, Principal Secretary of Skill Development and Technical Education, Ministers of Higher Education and Skill Development and Technical Education and DGP were present in the meeting. The Chief Secretary talked to collectors, supervisors at 49 locations for evaluations, SPs and district coordinators through video conferencing during the meeting.
