Bhubaneswar: The death toll in the SUM Hospital fire mishap went up to 26 with the death of one more patient this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kartikeswar Das, a resident of GGP Colony in Rasulgarh area in Bhubaneswar, who was shifted to Apollo Hospital after a major fire broke out in SUM Hospital in the night on October 17. Meanwhile, Capital Hospital will submit the post mortem report of the bodies of 19 patients of SUM Hospital to the Commissionerate Police today.
As informed by Dr Biswa Bhusan Patnaik, Director of Capital Hospital, post mortem report of 19 bodies has been completed.
Though he said that all post mortem reports have similar causes, the causes cannot be revealed to the media as the police will conduct investigation on the basis of these reports.The post mortem of these 19 bodies was conducted by two doctors of Capital Hospital.
