SUM hospital fire mishap: One more patient dies

Bhubaneswar: One more victim of SUM hospital fire mishap died on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment at Apollo hospital here.

The deceased has been identified as Pradyumna Kumar Nanda of Keonjhar.

According to reports, Nanda was shifted to Capital hospital after a major fire broke out at SUM hospital on October 17 night.

He was later shifted Apollo hospital where he died while undergoing treatment, sources added.

Notably on October 17, a major fire broke out at the dialysis ward of SUM claiming 19 lives on the same day.

Five persons, including the owner of hospital Manoj Nayak were arrested under section 304, 308 and 285/34 of IPC and later Nayak was released from jail after getting bail from Bhubaneswar Sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM-II) court.
