Bhubaneswar: The Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Central Division will record the statements of witnesses of the Sum Hospital fire Mishap from today.
Besides common people, the RDC will record the statements of doctors who conducted autopsy of the people died in the mishap, DMET authorities, hospital officials and the CDMO would appear before the Commissioner and record their statements. The RDC has fixed November 29, 30 and December 1, 2, 3 and 6 for recording of statements.
Notably, the State government had directed the RDC to enquire into the fire mishap at the Sum Hospital that had occurred on October 17. While a total of 393 affidavits were received by the last date, 61 will be called for recording their statements in various phases.
Earlier on Sunday, the Commissionerate police quizzed Saswati Das and Arati Nayak, trustees of the Siksha O Anusandhan (SOA) Charitable Trust in connection with the fire mishap that has so far claimed 31 lives.
