Bhubaneswar: The recruitment process for various posts in different departments of the State should be expedited and a discussion on it held, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during a review meeting on Thursday.
The Finance Department has issued clearance for 90,465 posts that includes 71,922 base level posts. While 46,466 posts among those have been filled, 25,530 posts are lying vacant. Notification through OPSC and SSC has been issued to fill the posts.
Out of 10,000 Block level posts 6,155 posts have been filled. In Resettlement and Rehabilitation sector 4,953 posts have been filled out of 6,409 posts.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated a recruitment web portal during the meeting.
"Forty six thousand five hundred posts have been filled up. Posting of ASOs has been done in Secretariat; posting of two batches of OAS officers is also underway. Today we also discussed that steps should be taken to conduct OCS exam every year, ensure the result of OCS 2016 will be published soon and give the requisition for OCS 2017 and conduct it soon," said Special Secretary, General Administration department, Ashok Meena.
