Bhubaneswar: The State Chief Food Commissioner Rangalal Jamuda, on Friday, visited Nagada village in Jajpur district to take a stock of the infrastructural development in the region.
After reviewing the overall progress in Nagada, Jamuda said the road work in the area would be completed within a month. "A pond has been constructed but it has no water. However, the villagers are managing their water woes from a different source," the commissioner added.
Jamuda also talked to the villagers about their problems and assured them of necessary steps towards meeting the issues at the earliest.
Earlier, the district collector had informed about construction of three ponds in the region to check water-borne disease and mitigate water problems. Besides, the administration has plans to take up multiple programmes to bring in behavioural changes among the Nagada villagers and connect them to the mainstream.
