Bhubaneswar: Sabyasachi Satpathy, popularly known as Shagoon, a celebrity from Odisha is likely to be one of the contestants to feature in the upcoming season of the reality show Bigg Boss.
Though any official announcement regarding this is yet to be announced, Shagoon's family has confirmed that he was kept in isolation along with other candidates at the Bigg Boss house for the selection since last week. His entry in the new season of Bigg Boss will be confirmed today when the show will be aired tonight.
The new season which will be hosted by Salman Khan, will once again see a mix of celebrities and commoners trying to edge past each other to win the reality show. As per the new neighbourhood theme, there will be two houses and contestants will be divided into two lots.
The contestants will have to keep an eye on each other and juice out maximum gossip about each other on their first week after their entry into the Bigg Boss house. The new season of Bigg Boss begins at 9 pm tonight.
Shagoon Satpathy, a designer-cum-TV personality who has also hosted a cookery show on OTV is quite popular among youths and has a good fan following across Odisha.
“My brother has been shortlisted. But we will be able to find out if he is in the final list of participants only when the announcement is made tonight. We are hopeful that people of Odisha will vote for Shagoon if he makes it into the Bigg Boss house,” said Jitu Satpathy, former Ranji player and brother of Shagoon.
According to reports, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s Hina Khan, popular television and web series producer Vikas Gupta, Splitsvilla fame teen icon Priyank Sharma, Balika Vadhu actor Hiten Tejwani, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain controversial star Shilpa Shinde and VJ Benafsha Soonawala have been confirmed as the celebrity contestants.
