Sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik admitted to hospital

Puri/Bhubaneswar: Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik, who has been on a hunger strike demanding cleaning of Bankimuhan beach in Puri, was today admitted to a privately-run hospital in Bhubaneswar.

Well-wishers and supporters of Sudarsan took him to the hospital following deterioration in his condition.

Sudarsan was on a hunger strike since Tuesday demanding immediate measures by the state government to ensure pollution free beach at Bankimuhan in Puri.

Meanwhile, the Puri Municipal Corporation has undertaken a massive cleaning process at the beach today.
