Rourkela Police crack 5 dacoity cases

Rourkela: Rourkela police have succeeded in resolving 5 dacoity cases in a month by arresting 8 persons in the process.

Out of the eight persons arrested, 6 of them have been identified as dacoits. Morover, police have seized 250 grams worth of gold ornaments along with one pistol and a machete.

According to sources, the arrested persons carried out serial robbery in the Rourkela city. All the dacoits have been identified as residents of the city and they used to carry out robbery at posh and reputed localities of the city.

Moreover, these persons used to carry out their robbery during the daytime, informed sources.
