Red rebels' posters warning police informers found in Kalahandi

Kalahandi: Panic gripped Trilochanpur village under Lanjigarh block of the district after several Maoist posters warning people of the area, who have become police informers, were found pasted here on Sunday.

The villagers are terrified after finding the posters which mentioned that those people who are working as police informers should stop doing so lest they will be severely punished.

In all the posters pasted in the village market, the maoists have warned police to stay away from village and also cautioned people to refrain from becoming informers." Kalahandi police is frequently entering Niyamgiri area. Those who are informers will be given death punishment,” stated the posters.

Meanwhile, police personnel in the area have been directed to tighten combing operations and tap their respective information network that can lead them to maoists' hidden location.
