RD engineer in vigilance net

Bolangir: The vigilance sleuths on Friday arrested the executive engineer of Rural development department on his way to Angul with hefty sums allegedly acquired illegally.

RD engineer Debendra Patnaik was going to his house in Angul in a scorpio vehicle with Rs 4.58 lakh cash. The anti graft sleuths seized the money after the accused failed to give satisfactory reply over the money.

The vehicle in which he was travelling was also seized.

DSP (vigilance)Abhiram Kar said the source of the money will be investigated.
