Cuttack: The prime accused in the Ravenshaw University assault case, Subhrajit Ray, has moved the Orissa High Court today seeking anticipatory bail on the apprehension of being arrested.
Ray is one of the accused in the recent assault incident on the premises of the varsity.
On July 10, a video of some students beating up the youth went viral. The victim lodged an FIR with Malgodown police regarding the incident on Monday following which a case was registered against 10 students and police arrested a Plus III second year student Anshuman Mohanty.

While police are yet to arrest the nine other accused, a group of students of the premier institution staged demonstration in front of the Vice-Chancellor's office and Cuttack DCP office protesting the arrest of Anshuman by police on charges of beating up the youth.
