Puri: With the world famous Rath Yatra fast approaching, Puri king Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb, accompanied by Queen Lilabati Pattamahadei, their daughter, son-in-law and grandson, visited the Lord Jagannath temple on Friday and offered prayers to the deities.
Later in the day Gajapati inspected the Jagamohan repair work and installation of steel portal frames. He also held discussions on the progress of the work with Executive Engineer of Works Department and authorities of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
After the discussion, Gajapati informed that ASI authorities have assured to complete the work within June 2.
Before leaving the temple he requested the Puri servitors to maintain discipline during the Rath Yatra.
