Prohibitory orders under Sec 144 clamped in Dhamnagar

Bhadrak: Prohibitory orders under Sec 144 of the CrPC were clamped in Dhamnagar of Bhadrak from 10 am today following fresh tension that erupted after a fire outbreak in the Dhamnagar Bazaar last night.

Four houses of a family were gutted allegedly in a fire mishap on Friday night.

The Sec 144 has been clamped in Dhamnagar Chhak, NAC area, Bhagbanpur, Palikiri and Dobala bazaar for a period of 24 hours even as SP, Collector and local MLA are trying to restore normalcy in the area.

Five platoons of police have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.

Later in the evening, police detained 4 persons in connection with the incident for questioning.
