Private bus owners observe 12-hour bandh in Koraput

Koraput: The Private Bus Owners' Association of Koraput resorted to a 12-hour bandh today protesting against plying of city buses in Koraput area.

As per sources, the bus owners are opposing the route permit and time schedule given to the city buses. The association alleged that the timing and the permit given to the city buses are unauthorized.

Bus service in many remote areas of Koraput has been halted due to the bandh causing inconvenience to the commuters.

Earlier on Wednesday, the local urban transport trust had staged a ceasework agitation alleging that the RTO is showing undue favours to private bus owners and giving them route permit and time table.
