Post-poll violence:  Dalit houses set ablaze in Athagarh 

Athagarh: Post-poll violence has taken a serious proportion at Kumarpur village in Athagarh as several houses were allegedly set ablaze by some villagers following a group clash today.

Sources said two groups of people clashed with each other in the village last night. They hurled stones at each other. Later, police reached the spot and took control of the situation. Though police forces were deployed at the village to keep a close watch on the situation in the area, some angry mob set several dalit houses at Harijan Sahi on fire this morning. The local residents alleged that the houses were set on fire in the presence of police personnel.
