Poll results for samiti members, ZPs to be declared formally today

Bhubaneswar: Official announcement of results of the recently concluded elections for panchayat samiti member and zilla parishad posts will be announced today at the block offices across Odisha.

The tabulation and poll result announcement process will begin at the block offices at 9 am for which the local administration of the districts has made tight security arrangements with availability of a Magistrate at the tabulation centres.

Besides, heavy police personnel are deployed at entry points of the block offices to avoid any unpleasant situation during the tabulation process as directed by the State Election Commission (SEC) to the district administration.

The SEC office informed the panchayat poll result booklet will be published on March 2.
