Police intensifies process to confiscate properties of absconding servitors

Puri: In the wake of the Niladribije fiasco, police has intensified the process for confiscation of properties of five absconding servitors of Sri Jagannath temple.

Jagannath Pradhan, Additional SP of Puri, said, “We had sent letters to Puri sub collector, tehsildar, banks, municipality, PKDA and RTO to submit the details of the property owned by the absconding servitors and they have submitted some details.”

“After getting all the details we will prepare a report and move SDJM court seeking permission to attach their properties,” Pradhan added.

According to sources, the absconding servitors- Damodar Mahasuara, Jayakrushna Mahasuara, Saina Khuntia, Bhimasen Palankadhari and Ipsit Pratihari own hotels, lodgings and many plots in their name.
