Kendrapara: Citing that Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda has concealed information in his poll affidavit, a plea has been filed before the SDJM court seeking registration of a case against the parliamentarian.
The plea has been filed by a resident of Harianta of Cuttack district, Gopal Lenka through his lawyer Akshay Nayak.
The petitioner has sought registration of case against the parliamentarian under section 125 (A) Representation of the People Act.
“The parliamentarian had concealed a lot of facts in the affidavit. Hence we have filed a case under section 125 (A) of the Representation of the People Act. The court may come out with an order next week. Nothing can be said right now as the court has to accept the plea and take cognizance of the matter,” said Nayak.
In response, Baijayant Panda in a tweet said, “Everyone knows who drummed up such false allegations, I am confident to get justice from ECI & Court.”
