Pilgrimage turns tragic

Jajpur: In a tragic incident, a couple was killed and four others injured critically after the car they were travelling in to Ghatagaan, the famous seat of goddess Tarini in Keonjhar district, was collided with a truck on NH 215 near jail road in Jajpur Road in the district today.

The victims were from Kalinga Vihar of Bhubaneswar. All the injured were admitted to the local CHC and later shifted to SCB medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for better treatment.

Deceased have been identified as Simanchal Panda and wife Basanti. Police seized the bodies for post-mortem.
