Panchayat Polls: Names of Sarpanch, Ward Members to be declared today

An official announcement of the names of Sarpanch and Ward Member candidates, who won in the recently concluded three tier Panchayat Polls, will be made today at all block offices across Odisha, State Election Commissioner R N Senapati has informed.

Tabulation of the results will be undertaken at the block offices from 9 am onwards on February 23, the State Election Commissioner told newsmen on Wednesday.

Poll officials and representatives of the poll candidates will also remain present during the process, Senapati added.

Notably, elections for the posts were completed in five phases across the State few days back.
