Bhubaneswar: Protests opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Odisha visit on April 15 have gained momentum in the state with the Odisha Yuva Samaj (OYS) strongly condemning the PM's remark that Odisha is a poverty-stricken state. The body has threatened to protest the PM's visit  to the state.

Sharply reacting to the PM's remarks, OYS President Debabrata Panigrahi said, “We protest his visit to Odisha. We would also demand employment of Odias in the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) at Paradip and unemployed youths in the East Coast Railways (ECoR).”
