OSSC wesbsite hacking: Crime branch begins probe

Cuttack: The Cyber Cell of Crime Branch of Odisha Police on Wednesday started an investigation into Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) website hacking after registering a case on basis of a written complaint filed by the Commission. This was informed by Crime Branch Special DG BK Sharma on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the official website of the commission – ossc.gov.in – was hacked Philippine Cyber Syndicate as mentioned on the home page of the commission's website.

A logo of an unknown organisation with a tagline ‘Anonymous …We are Legion’ was displayed on the website.

Besides, ‘Good day Mr Administrator, we hacked your website security to deliver a message. We are Philippine Cyber Syndicate. We fight for freedom and equality. We hate government corruption. We stand as one to protect the cyber world against abusive people using our skills in hacking. Consider this as a warning’ is also written on the homepage of the hacked website.
