Bhubaneswar/Bargarh: Odisha Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Minister Damodar Rout said he had already directed an enquiry into cattle deaths due to Theileria disease before BJP leaders demanded a probe today. BJP leader Samir Mohanty had today alleged that cattle in the State are being given poisonous vaccines procured by the state government.

Mohanty, in a press meet, demanded that the government send samples of the injections given to cattle for vaccination against Theileria to various laboratories and make the reports public. “If the reports prove that the vaccinations are not suitable for bovine use, action should be taken against Minister Rout as per the law for cow slaughter,” claimed Mohanty.
