One injured after an early morning shooting in Cuttack

Cuttack: A person was injured in an early morning shooting incident on Cantonment Road here on Monday.

The injured, identified as Shaik Jalil of Mani Sahu chaak, was shot in the stomach and leg. He is undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital.

The reason behind the shooting is yet to be found. But, prima facie, it appears to have some connections with the recent Kesharpur bombing incident where some unidentified miscreants hurled crude bomb on a house.

Meanwhile, Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora has taken stock of the situation and will brief on the reason behind the shooting incident shortly.
