Bhubaneswar: Lodging a stiff protest against suspension of five doctors for dereliction of duty, the Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) today demanded immediate revocation of the suspension order threatening that it would resort to cease-work strike from December 13.

The medicos association informed that doctors in Jagatsinghpur district will wear black badges on duty as a mark of protest as four of its members were suspended from the district for dereliction of duty.

Similarly, the fellow physicians from across the State will follow the suit on December 7, informed association sources.

Health Minister Pratap Jena had recently found irregularities in implementation of 'Niramaya' scheme after visiting Jagatsinghpur and Talcher areas and suspended five doctors including one from Talcher on charges of dereliction of duty.
