New Delhi: Forest & Environment, Information & Public Relations and Parliamentary Affairs minister Bikram Keshari Arukha inaugurated the Odisha Day at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Hamsadhwani Theatre inside Pragati Maidan premises in New Delhi today.
The event began with a Odissi dance by Meera Das and troupe of Gunjan Dance Academy, Cuttack. The artists of Dasabhuja Gotipua Odissi Nrutya Parisad of Raghurajpur performed Gotipua while Dr Jayasree Dhal and troupe of Sur Vibration Charitable Trust, Bhubaneswar performed fusion dance ‘Joy Odisha Joy’ and ‘Joy Utkal Joy’.
Besides, Sambalpuri dance by Lahari, Sambalpur, folk and tribal dance by Dulduli Kala Parisad , Bolangir, Ranappa, Chadheya and Sankha Badan by Ganjam Folk Dance Centre, Narendrapur, Ganjam enthralled the spectators.
On the occasion, the minister released the special issue of Utkal Prasanga and Odisha Review.
