Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government increased the dearness allowance (DA) by 7% for its staff with retrospective effect from July 1, 2016. The State government’s decision was announced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today evening in Bhubaneswar.
The Odsiha government pensioners will get Dearness Relief (TI) at 7%, the Chief Minister added.
Approximately four lakh State government employees and three lakh pensioners will be benefitted with the recent hike in the dearness allowance and decision on the TI.

Notably, the State government employees are currently getting 125% dearness allowance.
