Bargarh: It was a tear jerking moment for Dhanpati, his near and dear ones at the Bhubaneswar railway station. Happiness of Dhanpati’s family knew no bounds after seeing their son for the first time in 8 years.

Dhanpati, son of Manohar Nayak, resident of Mandosil village in Bargarh went missing when he ventured out of the state in search of employment eight years ago.

Sources said Dhanpati lost his memory while wandering on the streets of Lucknow. Even though he attempted several times to return to his family while working at Rae Bareli, he failed.

Narrating his ordeal Dhanpati said he was denied proper wage, food and tortured during his stay there. "Later I moved from Rae Bareli to Lucknow  and spent seven months in search of a new employment," he said.

After all these years, Dhanpati had only a faint memory of his father's name and village and was unable to converse in his native language.

Fortunately, while wandering on the streets, a hotelier, Neeraj Sharma of Power House Road found Dhanpati and gave him a job at his restaurant.

Expressing his happiness, Umesh Sahu, a relative of Dhanpati thanked OTV for its assistance to get back Dhanpati.
