Puri: After a purported video of a ‘rave party’ inside a star hotel in Puri went viral, police have now swung into action and intensified probe into the incident.
Earlier, 10 girls and 15 youths were rescued with some of them in semi-nude state after police had conducted a raid on the hotel located on Puri-Konark marine drive on November 15.
Acting on a tip-off, the raid was conducted and the youths were released after interrogation, senior police officials said.

“We are now trying to ascertain whether the viral video is of the same hotel or some other place,” said Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi.
Sarangi further informed that the CCTV footage of the hotel has been sought to ascertain whether there is some link between youths seen in the video and those who were present in the hotel.
Besides, police are also verifying whether there has been a violation of existing norms including loud speaker provisions, if any permission was sought for hosting such event in the hotel and whether the hotel management had excise license and other approvals for engaging bar dancers.
“Stringent action will be taken against the accused if there is any violation as per law,” Sarangi added.
