NSUI quashes appointment of Chhatra Cong office bearers

Bhubaneswar: The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) quashed appointment of office bearers of the Odisha Chhatra Congress and issued a showcause notice to the students’ wing chief Itish Pradhan on Tuesday.

In a media release, NSUI general secretary and Odisha In-charge Nikhil Dwivedi stated the appointment of office bearers after June 6 last year has been carried out without its approval and therefore, it remains annulled.

Reacting to the development, Odisha Chhatra Congress president Itish Pradhan said, “I will examine if any complaint has been lodged before the NSUI. However, as per my knowledge no appointment has been made as mentioned by the national students’ union.”
