Nor'wester rains lash Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: High wind speeds and heavy rainfall was witnessed in the capital city today afternoon owing to a Nor'wester. The strong winds left many trees uprooted.

Commuters in the city were trapped in rain and fierce winds and took shelter under shops alongside the road.

Parked two wheelers fell down on the main roads due to the strong winds in areas like Patia, Master Canteen, Shahid Nagar and so on. Interestingly, many areas like Old Town, Khandagiri were dry even as most parts of the city witnessed heavy rains.
