Phulbani: A 24-hour bandh call, given by the KKBN Division of CPI (Maoist) in four districts of the state including Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh and Nayagarh turned out to be a damp squib today with virtually no impact on the ground.

Additional forces have been deployed in Maoist dominated areas such as Lanjigarh, Thuamul Rampur and Bijepur in Kalahandi district, reports said .There have been no reports of violence by the red rebels so far, informed police sources.
