Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today condoled the death of 20 people in a major fire at a hospital in Bhubneshwar in neighbouring Odisha.

The Bihar CM said in a statement here that the state stood solidly with Odisha in this hour of calamity.

He prayed to the Almighty to provide strength to the bereaved families to bear the loss on account of the mishap.

Kumar, who is also president of JD(U), prayed for early recovery of those injured in the tragedy.

Last night's fire in Sum hospital in Odisha's capital Bhubaneshwar claimed 22 lives while 106 others were undergoing treatment in different hospitals after being shifted from there.
