Bhanjanagar: After Niali, Kupati village here in Ganjam district is under the fear of an unidentified animal that killed 10 more lambs and left one injured Sunday night. Two other sheep also went missing from the village, villagers said.
The killer reportedly dragged the sheep from a shed and attacked with its nail.
On being informed, Forest department officials rushed to the spot and seized the carcasses.
The residents are in a state of panic as they have already heard about the mysterious creature that has unleashed terror in Niali.
Two days ago, 12 sheep were killed by an unknown animal in similar style at Badapathar village in the area. Locals found pug marks of the unknown animal near the place where the sheep were killed.
