Mountaineer Kalpana Dash hospitalised following stomach pain

Cuttack: Mountaineer Kalpana Dash, the first Odia woman who scaled Mount Eeverest in 2008, has been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack last night following severe stomach ache.

She is currently undergoing treatment at the Surgery ward of the State run government hospital. Her condition is stated to be critical by hospital sources.

Dash, a lawyer by profession,  had also scaled the highest peaks of other four continents- Mount KiliManjaro (Africa) in 2014, Mount Aconcagua (South America) in January,2015, Mount Elbrus (Europe) in July, 2015, and Mount Kosciuszko (Australia) in December,2015.
