Montek on 1-day Odisha visit

Bhubaneswar: On a day-long visit to Odisha, deputy chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia today appreciated the initiative of Odisha government in the field of agriculture after visiting the Udyan Fresh outlet near Jaydev Vihar square here.

Ahluwalia emphasized on opening more such shops in Odisha which could strengthen the economic condition of the farmers. Later, he left for Deras on the outskirt of the city to visit a centre of excellence in horticulture.

The planning commission deputy chairman is scheduled to meet CM Naveen Patnaik today. Later, he is scheduled to take part in a memorial debate programme at Ravenshaw University, Cuttack before flying back to Delhi in the evening.
