Bhubaneswar: A day before the Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly Police DG Dr RP Sharma on Wednesday reviewed the three-tier security arrangements made by the Commissionerate Police on the Assembly premises.
Sharma was accompanied by Director Intelligence Sunil Roy, Police Commissioner YB Khurania and various other senior police officials.
Apart from the Assembly, Sharma also reviewed the security arrangements in lower PMG area and informed that steps have been taken to prevent the demonstrators from breaking the police cordon.
As many as 31 platoons of police including 100 police personnel, Quick Response Team (QRT) and Special Armed Police have been deployed to enforce law and order. 60 CCTVs have been installed at various places including lower PMG area and two control rooms have been set up to monitor the security arrangements.
It may be mentioned that the monsoon session of the State Assembly starting today will continue till September 16. The eight-day session has six official and two private members day.
