Balasore: A pal of gloom descended on military engineer Sudhansu Sekhar Dash's home at Pandasuni village in Balasore district after the family members received his suicide note on Tuesday. Sudhansu had been missing since June 2.
A Military Engineer Services (MES) cadet Sudhansu had issues with his wife Prabhati since their marriage, as per family members. On April 8, Prabhati left for her father's home while Sudhansu was away on duty. He was home on leave from May 29.
On June 2, Sudhansu left for Balasore saying that he was going to Puri to get some work done but did not return. Worrying about his whereabouts, his family members registered a missing complaint with the police, said sources.
"We received Sudhansu's letter today addressed to me. He has written that he is committing suicide and asked me to look after the family," said Himanshu Dash, his elder brother.
A probe into the incident will be carried out, said police sources.
