Bhubaneswar/ New Delhi: In what could come as a major relief for the investigating agencies, the missing student of Bhubaneswar AIIMS, Suhail has been reportedly spotted in Gurugram.
A security guard posted at Jammu and Kashmir Bank’s ATM at Gurugram had spotted Suhail outside the kiosk and alerted bank officials.
After getting information from the concerned bank, a team of Odisha police that was already camping in Gurugram, swung into action and has started probe into the incident.
“The security guard claims to have spotted Suhail but we still do not have any information whether it was actual him or someone else,” said Suhail’s father Aijaz Ahmed Kataria.
Aijaz along with the team of Odisha police are conducting frantic searches at different locations in Gurugram.
“A few other people near Metro station have claimed to have spotted Suhail. We have come to the bank to verify the CCTV footage,” Aijaz added.
It is almost a month that the investigating agencies are groping in dark about the location of Suhail after he left his hostel at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on February 8.
Suhail, a second year MBBS student from Kashmir, had informed AIIMS authorities that he will be visiting Chandigarh to attend a friend’s marriage function and would return Odisha on February 17.
However, AIIMS authorities then had lodged a missing complaint with Khandagiri police after Suhail did not turn up at the hostel on February 18.
Later after preliminary probe by police of three states including Odisha, West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir it was revealed that Suhail’s last location was traced to Howrah.
