Miscreants uproot ATM machine, decamp with cash

Balasore: Miscreants uprooted an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of the State Bank of India and decamped with the cash at Bhanaga bazaar in Balasore late last night. The kiosk did not have any security guard and it is suspected that the accused were aware about it.

The machine was found lying on the road in the market. The amount of cash looted from the machine is yet to be ascertained, said police.

The same ATM machine kiosk was looted by some miscreants in 2017, informed locals.

"Despite repeated occurrence of such incidents, police have failed to trace the looters,” rued Rajesh, a resident of Bahanaga.

Meanwhile, police have started investigation into the matter.
