Miscreants loot more than 1 kg jewellery at gunpoint

Berhampur: In a daring robbery, four unidentified bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted jewellery weighing more than one kilogram from Subas Jewellers owner Pramod Chandra Moharana near Buguda bazaar in Ganjam district on Friday evening.

According to sources, the incident took place at around 6 pm yesterday when Maharana was returning home located at Balipendi sahi with the jewellery in a bag.

The assailants waylaid Moahrana and looted the jewellery at gunpoint, sources added.

Being informed about the incident police rushed to the spot and started investigation into the matter.
