Miracle baby: Woman delivers in vehicle that met fatal accident

Kandhamal: A woman miraculously delivered a baby boy in a vehicle after it met with a deadly accident in which three people died and 10 others were injured. Both mother and child were reported to be safe.

The three people were killed after the Tata Sumo they were travelling in overturned at Sirtiguda under K Nuagaon police limits of Kandhamal district today.

According to sources, the woman Masia Pradhan of Sirtiguda and her fellow passengers were on their way to K Nuagaon in the vehicle when the driver lost control, following which the vehicle overturned killing the three persons including the driver on the spot.

Soon after the accident, Masia started experiencing severe labour pain and was brought out of the vehicle when she was able to deliver a baby boy with help of her fellow passengers.

Meanwhile, both the mother and child are undergoing treatment at Baliguda hospital and were reported to be healthy.

On the other hand, police have seized the three dead bodies and sent them for post-mortem. The deceased were identified as Gravial Digal, Limari Pradhan and Mundari Pradhan.
