Minor girls meet watery grave in Ghatgaon

Ghatgaon: Two minor girls drowned in a pond at Paidapatna village under Ghatgaon police limits in Keonjhar last night.

The deceased, identified as Bijuli Munda and Rani Munda of the village, aged 3 and 4 respectively, had gone missing since last evening.

Family members searched the girls frantically and later bodies of the duo were found floating in the pond.

As per some villagers, both the girls were seen decorating a puja pandal nearby the pond in the afternoon.

After receiving information, police reached the spot and took the bodies for post mortem.
