In a latest incident of violation of child rights, a 16-year-old minor was allegedly married off to a 40-year-old widower forcibly by her poverty stricken parents in Bhubaneswar outskirts.
According to reports, the minor was married off to Shankar, a widower at Naput village under Tamando police limits last week.
The accused decided to marry for the second time after the death of his first wife.g while further steps would be taken for her rehabilitation.
