Bolangir: Police on Saturday intensified probe into the loot of a mini-truck laden with explosives from a godown at Dunguripali near Belpahar in Bolangir district.
According to reports, nearly 20 to 25 miscreants had stormed into the licensed godown and decamped with the mini-truck loaded with explosives during Holi celebrations yesterday.
Suspecting the involvement of naxals behind the loot of explosives, senior officials of Bolangir police including Patnagarh SDPO and Belpahar IIC rushed to the spot and started a probe.
Sources said taking advantage of holi celebrations, the miscreants had stormed into the godown and after attacking four security personnel, they fled from the spot in the mini-truck that was loaded with some explosives.
Meanwhile, after the empty mini-truck was recovered from the nearby Muribahal forest, Bolangir SP K.Siva Subramani ruled out the involvement of naxals and stated that locals are involved in the incident.
