Rairangpur: The Forest officials today arrested Harendra Narayan Das, manager of Gorumahisani Iron ore mines in Mayurbhanj district

The department had registered a case against Das on August 20, 2014 on the charge of illegal mining and exploration.
Notably, the Forest department had registered cases against the owner and managing director of Gorumahisani Iron ore mines, Jagdish Mishra and manager Harendra Narayan Das.

But the duo could not be arrested as they remained absconded since the day the case was registered against them.
However, acting on a tip-off, a team of forest officials of Rairangpur Forest Range today arrested Das and forwarded him to the court.

Efforts are on to nab Mishra, said a Forest official.
