Bhubaneswar: The Regional meteorological department issued alert for thunder storm and lightning for 19 districts till 5: 45 pm on Thursday.
As per the latest bulletin, the warning has been issued for Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Balasore, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts.
Several parts of Odisha have also experienced rainfall in Puri, Jharsuguda, Baripada, Maturbhanj, Paradeep, Balasore, Ganjam, Kendrapara and Mahanga.
Heavy rainfall along with thunder storm is also likely to occur at few places over North and Coastal Odisha in the next 24 hours, the met department stated in its release.
